Despite the crisis, the shares of RES capacity companies are stable

Shares of electricity generation companies with larger investments in solar and other renewable capacity have performed very well in the financial markets in 2020.
Five of the largest companies with serious investments in solar parks registered a significant increase in their share prices. It concerns companies such as Orstad, RVE and Enel. The Spanish Ibedrola is also performing well. Forecasts for the future of the sector are also stable despite the crisis, as support for the RES sector with public funds is developing steadily. Higher and higher goals are set. The targets for commissioning 40,000 megawatts of new capacity by 2030 can be substantially adjusted. According to analyzes by European institutions, consulting firms and non-governmental organizations, in the next 10 years, Europe will need quantities of energy produced by RES, which requires the installation of at least 120 thousand megawatts of new capacity by the end of the decade.
