The joint venture Sens LSG, founded by Steag Solar Energy Solutions GmbH (Sens) and the Vienna-based LSG Group, plans to install a total of 25 solar parks with a total capacity of 480 megawatts in 2022.
Sens LSG undertakes the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the systems. The joint venture is working with Green Source and Core Value Capital on the financing. More projects to come. In the medium term, the joint venture intends to install up to one gigawatt of photovoltaic capacity in Greece.
The partners see favorable framework conditions for RES in Greece. According to him, the government intends to continue with the expansion of solar and wind energy on a large scale. The vehicle for this is the National Energy and Climate Plan (NCEP). About ten gigawatts of solar and wind power capacity will be added by 2030. Greece wants to become climate neutral by 2050.
