Germany has installed 4,000 megawatts of photovoltaics this year

Germany recorded the addition of 406.4 megawatts (MW) of new photovoltaic capacity in September, according to the latest figures from the federal grid agency Bundesnetzagentur.

In comparison, 434.5 MW were installed in August this year and 388 MW in September 2020.

In the first nine months of 2021, generators connected more than 4,000 MW of solar power to the grid, compared to 3,500 MW in the same period a year earlier. The country's cumulative solar capacity exceeded 56,500 MW at the end of September.

More than 321.6 MW of September's new capacity was due to rooftop and ground systems up to 750 kW and built under the FIT scheme.
